新宿と松本を結ぶＪＲ東日本の特急「スーパーあずさ」の新型車両が２０１７年１２月から運行を開始した。カーブの多い路線対策として車体傾斜装置などの新技術を導入し、車内設備も観光客やビジネスユースに対応して刷新された。２４年ぶりに更新された特急「スーパーあずさ」の新型車両を特集する。また、後半のコーナーでは、世界文化遺産に登録された富士山のふもとを走る、富士急行の観光列車「富士山ビュー特急」を紹介。
