They packed so much content into one episode, its actually quite impressive. That was an interesting journey, filled with just as much: "I have no idea WTF is going on... but I like this" moments as the original OVA... It's definitely nowhere near as good though, they honestly could have done better with the story. Hopefully Alternative will be a much more rewarding experience.
