It's kind of annoying that after I corrected the OP romaji and TL a couple episodes ago in the QC pad (after the official lyrics came out), you guys went back to the done-by-ear translation the next episode :/

I did not watch original major. But I'm watching major 2nd, and it horrible. It feels more like slice of life anime than sport. No real match so far and too slow pace. They wasted two episodes on the drama about his friend leaving him.
Captain Tsubasa (2018) is much more intense and keep me at the edge of my seat. You also get all those amazing visual effects when they shoot the ball. The show feels like football version of Kuroko no Basket

Gurazeni is Awesome in every way. It is original, funny, laid back.
If it keeps you at the edge of your seat, then now I know you never watched the original show. Because this is a direct retelling.
