why is there a ED song sub even though the ED part has no song and just an instrumental?

Huh, that's so weird! This version has an instrumental version for the ED, but some other releases have a voiced ED. Probably a rights issue for Daydream Believer. Shame, this is the better release overall, but I prefer the voiced ED.
